PAGING DR. JONES
According to this article on World Net Daily, the Orthodox Church of Ethiopia is about to reveal the ark of the covenant to the world.
"Soon the world will be able to admire the Ark of the Covenant described in the Bible as the container of the tablets of the law that God delivered to Moses and the center of searches and studies for centuries."
Did these people not see Raiders of the Lost Ark? Do they not remember what happened in the end of the movie?

TIM BURTON'S ALICE IN WONDERLAND
What would happen when you take an already trippy story like "Alice in Wonderland" and have Tim Burton take a stab at it?

THE RETURN OF THE BLOG?
There was a point, a few years back, when I was averaging about 10 posts a day and had nearly 300 people (different users) visiting my blog on a daily basis.

I Am Brendan
This is something that was posted on 97.1 ZHT about me. I guess, according to them, Brendan Fraser looks like me.
I don't see it, but I won't complain. It's like the time I was told by a teenager that I resembled "the chunky Backstreet Boy". At first I was hurt. She called me "chunky" but then I thought about it and figured that she was more importantly saying that I looked like a Backstreet Boy.
So while I don't think I look anything like Brendan, I'll take it.

AND THE BATMAN RUMORS START
It looks like Christopher Nolan will indeed be back to direct a third Batman film. According to E! Online, "the next Batman installment is alive and kicking — definitely." (Wow, that's a shock. I mean The Dark Knight only made a couple trillion dollars on it's opening day.)
As if that's not enough to make you giddy, there's a few rumors included.
I'm sure you've all heard the Philip Seymour Hoffman as The Penguin and Johnny Depp as the Riddler rumors, but how about Rachel Weisz as Catwoman?
Take it for what it's worth, but The Dark Knight did make a reference to Catwoman. After Bruce Wayne gets bitten by the dog, he visits Lucius with a request of another suit. He then asks Lucius if it would withstand a dog bite. Lucius makes a remark that it's "cat proof".
I remember hearing that when I first saw the movie, but it didn't phase me until I saw it the second time (nine hours later).
So I have a feeling that Catwoman will be in this next movie. I have mixed feelings about it, but I don't doubt any decisions that Chris Nolan makes now. If he says he wants Rachel Weisz to play Catwoman...or even Cher...who am I to argue?

A SIGN OF THE APOCALYPSE?
For the first time since 1975, the Arizona Cardinals have clinched their division.
I realize that a few of you that read my blog don't really follow the history of football, so let me give you a little background on how momentous this is for the Cardinals.
The Cardinals are the oldest professional football team in the U.S. They formed in Chicago in 1898 as the Morgan Athletic Club. After many name changes, they chose the name of the Chicago Cardinals when they became a charter member of the NFL in 1920. (Of course, I have to throw in my Steelers fact here. In 1944, during the World War II, the Cardinals temporarily merged with the Pittsburgh Steelers and became one franchise, usually referred to as Card-Pitt.)
The Cardinals then moved to St. Louis, Missouri in 1960. (The folks of St. Louis would call them "The Football Cardinals" or the "The Big Red" in order to distinguish them from the baseball team.) In 1988, the team tried to get a brand new football-only stadium in St. Louis, but was denied, so they packed up and headed to Phoenix. The team was known as the Phoenix Cardinals before it switched to using "Arizona" in its name in 1994.
For many years, the Cards have been the door mat of the NFC West division, which includes the San Francisco 49ers, St. Louis Rams and Seattle Seahawks. Yesterday, the Cards beat, ironically, the Rams to clinch their first division since 1975, when they were still the St. Louis Cardinals. (Also, Arizona's QB is Kurt Warner. He played for the Rams from 1998-2003, where he won two NFL MVP awards as well as a Super Bowl MVP and a Super Bowl ring.)
As NFC West champions, the Cardinals will host a playoff game for the first time since, as the Chicago Cardinals, they defeated Philadelphia to win the NFL title in 1947.
The Cardinals, also, are one of only six NFL teams that have never been to the Super Bowl. (The Cleveland Browns, Detroit Lions, Houston Texans, Jacksonville Jaguars, and New Orleans Saints being the five).
As a Steelers fan, I am obviously going to be cheering my team on to finish out the season in a huge fashion. (I was especially happy after they came back from a ten-point deficit with 7 minutes left in the game to beat the stinking Cowboys yesterday.)
But also as a football fan, I can't help but hope that the Cardinals can make it to the Super Bowl. (They are in the NFC and the Steelers are in the AFC, so I can wish that.)
Of course, if they do, prepare for the end of the world to be near.
